There were many individual stories of achievement and triumph that came out of Vancouver during the 2010 Olympic Games, and we struggled to select one competitor as the face of the American team. In the end, we selected Lindsey Vonn, because she exemplified a true competitive spirit that permeated through this year’s team. Her all-out, no-holds bar approach to skiing produced a couple of spills, but it also gave her 2 medals … and it ignited what looks like could be a very long love-affair with the American public. Although we’ve highlighted Lindsey here, we do want to acknowledge the efforts and achievements of the entire American Olympic Team in Vancouver. For each and everyone, we say thanks for your dedication to your sport and the high level of excellence that you displayed. For Lindsey Vonn, we say congratulations for reaching a new milestone and for this year’s appearance on The Red Carpet.
