Morgan Freeman

“I knew at an early age I wanted to act. Acting was always easy for me. I don’t believe in predestination, but I do believe that once you get where ever it is you are going, that is where you were going to be.” … Morgan Freeman

There’s no denying that Morgan Freeman is a great actor. He’s been named to the Red Carpet “25″ once before for his body of work in film. But while we love watching him in all of his roles, we’re acknowledging another one of his amazing talents – narration. Morgan Freeman is noted for his reserved demeanor and authoritative speaking voice. It’s that calm, fatherly-like voice that draws us into whatever story he’s trying to tell. Take the Summer and Winter Olympics. With so many hours of programming and incessant over-hyping of certain athletes, Freeman’s background stories of Olympic courage rose above everything and put a more human face on the individuals that competed in the games. Now that the games are done, we remember the pageantry, the major competitive events and, of course, Morgan Freeman’s voice telling us about a personal triumph. We think he’s partly responsible for growing the viewership for the Summer and Winter Olympics. We’re proud to add his voice to The Red Carpet.
