Alec Baldwin

“There’s less critical thinking going on in this country on a Main Street level – forget about the media – than ever before. We’ve never needed people to think more critically than now, and they’ve taken a big nap.” … Alec Baldwin.

And that’s the sort of direct, poignant observation that makes Alec Baldwin stand-out in a crowd.  Forget that he’s one the most versatile entertainers in Hollywood – remember this is the same guy who chased a submarine commander in “The Hunt for Red October”, introduced us to “Sweatie Balls”, and starred in numerous film, television and stage productions.  Regardless of the role, he’s delivered on all counts.  It’s not surprising that he has emerged as one of the funniest and most enjoyable characters on “30 Rock” and this year’s co-host of the Oscars.  Still it’s not just talent that we admire in Alec Baldwin.  It’s his ability to entertain, combined with his ability to make us think a little more about the world we live in.  In today’s world, there’s little doubt that we need entertainers like Alec Baldwin to help us escape the world’s woes, but as Alec said, we also need a critical perspective to address those woes.  Alec Baldwin brings both to The Red Carpet.
