This year’s Red Carpet “25″ has some old favorites, some very new faces and a few surprises. There was some second guessing and a couple of last minute changes, but now the list is set, the blogs have been posted and we’re ready to enjoy another year of movies, television, sports and entertainment. Do you agree with this year’s Red Carpet “25″? Who’s not here and why?

The 2010 Red Carpet “25″ will be announced in the coming weeks just about the time that the new look for the website is complete. As you’ll notice while visiting some of the pages, the transition to the new format is not going as smooth as had hoped. Graphic transitions always take more time than anticipated. But by the end of March, I hope to have everything online, in its place and ready for the announcement of the 2010 Red Carpet “25″. In the meantime, I apologize for the mess.

It had all the ingrediants – Victoria Secret’s Angels, sexy lingerie, The Black Eye Peas and high-energy runway.  But something seemed to be missing in this year’s Victoria Secret’s fashion show.  Oh I know what it was … the Angels walking the runway!  Compared to previous year’s shows. the actual time the Angels spent hitting the runway seemed much less.  The reality-show wave hit the Angels show, and although not totally boring, it didn’t really spur much dramatic hype and emotion that reality shows are suppose to generate – especially considering that people were asked to vote live during a pre-recorded television show.   We do think tha tKylie will emerge as a new favorite Angel, but she had all of the assets to do that on her own.  The Black Eye Peas were great and Heidi Klum’s 8 seconds on the runway drew a huge crowd reaction.  The last runway walk of the evening, before the finale, was by far, the best and showcased everything that Victoria Secrets is known for – if only the earlier part of the show had been as strong.  Its impossible to say that any show featuring the Victoria Secret’s Angels was a bad show, but VS should go back to what got them there … lots of Angels walking the runway.

Except for the opening and the Weekly News Update, country music singing sensation Taylor Swift, was featured in all Saturday Night Live sketches in her debut as host.  All of her characters were different and she displayed an natural ease at live comedy that other guest hosts could not achieve.   It was refreshing to watch her move from sketch to sketch, actually stealing the show from the SNL regulars.  Her best was the opening monolog that poked fun at her inspiration for song writing.  The girl in the head-retainer for TRAAAPD was also fun.  Oh … she sang too.  All in all, Taylor Swift showed why she’s one of this year’s Red Carpet “25″ and one of this generation’s great entertainer.

In the September issue of “Elle” magazine, Jennifer Aniston says on being labeled a “lonely girl”: “I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it. If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it.”

So where’s a good publicist when you need one? There’s a HUGE difference between being “lonely” and just being “alone”. We pity the lonely, but we are empowered by those who can go it alone. Jen – don’t accept being labeled lonely if you just happen to be unattached… then kick your publicist in the butt for letting others label you as such.

There are some real nice tribute web pages out there, but here’s one that we think stands out at the top. It features Stacy Keibler, a former member of the Red Carpet “25″. We had high hopes for Stacy as a member of the Red Carpet “25″, and with these images, we’re estatic to see that she’s scored big … at least 100!

We’re big fans of “Entourage” and huge fans of Emmanuelle Chriqui, the seductive, dark-haired, hottie that plays Eric’s former girlfriend.  She looked awesome on the opening show and stopped our hearts cold in the 2nd episode.  Then the kicker … her appearance was just a tease, as her and Eric parted friends at the end of the show.  But according to Chirqui in a recent interview, she’s not gone for good.  “However, this time we discover a lot more about Sloan – who she is, what she does for a living,” said Chriqui. “We get a more in-depth view of who she is than ever before.”  And for us Entourage fans, we can’t wait!
